City Church, as part of Elim, is committed to making sure that all children and vulnerable adults are in a safe place.  To do this we adhere to comprehensive safeguarding practices working with our National Leadership Team.

Elim is committed to safeguarding children and adults in need of protection. We acknowledge that safeguarding the vulnerable in our churches, activities and communities in which we work, both here and overseas, is of paramount importance.

​

Safeguarding requires that agencies and organisations working with children, young people, and adults take all reasonable measures to ensure that the risks of harm to the individual’s welfare are minimised.  It also requires that where there are concerns about children's, young people’s, and adults' welfare, all agencies and organisations take all appropriate actions to address those concerns.

​

We require each of our churches to adopt Elim’s safeguarding policy, carry out training and have good working procedures in place. We provide support and advice to you and your church in key areas of safeguarding to ensure that Elim churches are safe places for all.

Here in St Albans, our all leaders, volunteers and staff working with children or young people are DBS checked and we provide regular safeguarding training to keep our team up to date.
